Penny HarvestThank you Orca K-8 Penny Harvest for choosing SNG as your Grant Recipient!

We recently were awarded Orca K-8 School's Penny Harvest grant! Penny Harvest is a service-learning youth philanthropy program where youth between the ages of 4 and 18 convert their natural passion for others into action by collecting pennies and turning them into grants for community organizations. They studied community needs and organizations and chose to donate to us! Thanks Orca K-8!

Helping to get things started...

Great things often come from small beginnings, and Seattle Neighborhood Group is engaged with small projects in a supportive way.

SNG can help your small project or group by...

  • providing fiscal sponsorship for those without 501c3 status
  • sharing tips about handling the documents and process of a startup
  • provide community leadership development through sponsored training and mentoring
  • work with startup boards to learn how to guide a new organization or project
  • event planning

The projects we work with fit under our mission, and we enjoy supporting the variety of ideas that small groups create and carry out in our neighborhoods. If you have a project in mind, contact us to find out how we might be able to help!

Groups we work with include:

  • Yesler Terrace Community Council
  • Colman Neighbors
  • East Precinct Crime Prevention Council
  • March For Youth
  • Hillman Business Association
  • Othello Park Alliance
  • Youth 180
  • Black on Black Crime Prevention Coalition
  • Yesler Terrace 2014
  • Seattle Hip Hop Youth Council
  • Kickin' it for Peace
