Penny HarvestThank you Orca K-8 Penny Harvest for choosing SNG as your Grant Recipient!

We recently were awarded Orca K-8 School's Penny Harvest grant! Penny Harvest is a service-learning youth philanthropy program where youth between the ages of 4 and 18 convert their natural passion for others into action by collecting pennies and turning them into grants for community organizations. They studied community needs and organizations and chose to donate to us! Thanks Orca K-8!

Special Projects

SNG staffer Kelly McKinney helps adjust a child's bike helmet at a community event

Here at Seattle Neighborhood Group we like to stay creative and flexible about how we help out in our communities. Sometimes that means that we take on a project that doesn't fit neatly into our established programs. Some of our standard programs and services actually started out as special projects that staff members thought would fill a need in their community, like the GOTS project.

Other projects are ongoing, community based events that bring everyone together, like Neighborhood Cleanups, or a huge variety of Community Celebrations that we help to coordinate.

Keep an eye on our Calendar Page for special projects and events in your neighborhood
