Bridge to Beach All Valley Earth Day Makeover

The 2012 Bridge to Beach Makeover will be held on Sunday, April 22.

Last year, 20 groups of Rainier Valley neighbors, business owners and friends participated in a coordinated effort to clean up streets, graffiti, parks, gardens and planting strips from the I-90 Bridge to Rainier Beach. All participants were amazing people and the whole Rainier Valley should be grateful for their strength, vision, energy and compassion. Their goodwill makes all of our lives better.

You are invited to join us this year by creating your own beautification project or ask us for help with project ideas and volunteers.

We will provide trash grabbers, gloves, trash bags, graffiti removal tools, and garbage pick up. You can also apply for a small sparks grant to pay for supplies such as bark mulch or plants for example. Teams start the day by picking up supplies, coffee, and snacks at the Rainier Chamber of Commerce office and return there by 3:00p.m. with before and after photos and accomplishment stories.

Every year, we also provide fun awards and prizes for participating teams.
