of businesses within Weed & Seed
boundaries through facade improvements.
Maximum of $500 per business awarded.
Funds are not available to franchises
or churches.

match in funding is required.
The property owner or tenant must
provide labor, capital or materials
in an amount at least equal to
the grant amount. |

Participants
must finance the entire project
and submit receipts for reimbursement.
A copy of the proposed project
budget must accompany application. |

The
applicant is also responsible
for obtaining any necessary City
permits or approvals for the project. |

For
projects involving signage, the
project’s design must be
developed or reviewed by a design
or signage professional. If the
project is in a Historical District,
it must receive a Certificate
of Approval by the City of Seattle
Landmarks Preservation Board before
the project can begin. |

2. Application will
be processed within 3 weeks of receipt.
After your project is approved...
3. Do it! Please
document your project with before
and after photos.
4. Turn in receipts
for reimbursement. Amount of reimbursement
will be based on receipts. Maximum
amount awarded is $250.
Project
Ideas:
Replacement of window bars with clear
security film, lighting improvements,
landscape improvements or shrubbery
removal/pruning. Other projects might
be minor facade improvements, painting,
replacing or improving business signage,
graffiti paint-out, pressure wash
sidewalks, litter clean up and dump
fees.
